 Dave is a author, instructor and for the past 10 years has been a photographer and ‘photoshopotographer’, combining photography and Photoshop. Although his official title is Senior Developer, Education and Curriculum for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, on his business card it simply says "Dave Cross, Chief Photoshop Guy".

Dave has co-authored several books and is the author of the Photoshop CS2 Help Desk Book and Photoshop Finishing Touches. Dave currently writes for Photoshop User magazine, teaches at the Photoshop World Conference & Expo and is the Lead Instructor for the Kelby Training Live Photoshop Seminar Tour. Dave is featured on a DVD series, Kelby Online Training, as one of the "Photoshop Guys" on Adobe Photoshop User TV and also has his own weekly podcast, "Ask Dave".

In 2009 Dave was honored and inducted into the Photoshop Hall of Fame.
